The winery, with its essential, geometric design, has been guarding the treasure of Castello Monaci since the late 1970s.
It boasts a barrel cellar of over 1000 barriques, hewn from the same white tufa rock found deep in the soil of the vineyards surrounding the Castle.
The winery is equipped with modern winemaking equipment, including a refrigerated crushing system with small-capacity, double-cell, temperature-controlled steel tanks. This makes it possible to vinify limited quantities of grapes separately, and thus bring out their individual character.
Since 2000, the estate’s oenologist has been Leonardo Sergio, whose experience and sensitivity allow him to capture and select the best that nature offers us, and to interpret it in its most authentic form. Watch the video
